Servo-Skull Staff a Warhammer40k Fanart

This is a project i 've been chipping away at from my free time, and aside from the Warhammer aesthetics which i am really into, what i liked most about this project is the blend of Hard surface and Organic Modelling which is always a great exercise.

Lore wise Servo-Skulls are usually floating and are not attached to staffs but since it is an inspiration of WH40k ,I wanted to do something a bit unique, it all started when i was playing a lot of Darktide and in Contrast to Verminetide in which the Sorceress in that game has staffs with skulls on them, the Psyker Staffs in Darktide did not , so I've basically filled in the blanks and called it a day.

This piece is not based on a reference, I've collected ton of other Servo-skull artwork and added my own to the mix.

Break Down:
- Started by gathering a lot of references.
- Sculpted the Skull in Zbrush.
- Created the mechanical parts in Maya then Merged them all inside of Zbrush and sculpted a bit of details.
- Retopologized all of the assets in Maya.
- UV unwrapped all the assets.
- Split the assets into 4 Main Materials.
- Baked and Textured the Servo-Skull Staff inside of Painter 3D.
- Rendered the Assets inside of Marmoset tool bag 4.
While creating this asset i did not want to comprise details for optimization for 2 main reasons, this is supposed to be a high quality Hero asset, and since this is a showcase i wanted everything to pop , it is still created with the full pipeline for game ready assets, but i left some polygons that i would normally reduce and rely on the baking process in a production ready environment.
